*Awakening
Welcome to the game of Kingdom Hearts. At the very beginning, you will see a very cool FMV, with a nice remix of the Kingdom Hearts theme song, Simple And Clean. To me the FMV doesn't make much sense, but it looks very cool. Then you will see our main character, Sora. You are on a platform of some sort and voice will tell you what to do. Always listen to the voice because this serves as the tutorial for the game. Firstly, you will be taught how to move so move into the center of the platform and three weapons will appear..You will have to choose one of the three and also choose one to lose so jump on to the platform of the weapon you want. Your strength in the game will depend on the items you choose. If you choose the sword, your attck will be higher. If you choose the Staff, you will have a lot of MP and if you choose the shield your defence will be high. If choose to lose the item, the effects will be opposite. For Example, if you lose the sword, your attack will decrease.
Now you will fall on to a different platform. You will notice that you now are holding the weapon that you chose earlier. The voice will now teach you how to battle monsters. These monsters are referred to as the "Heartless." This battle isn't too hard. Just use the 3-hit combo-that's when you press X three times. Once you are done, you will go to the next platform.
You will be now on a platform with a door. On this platform you will be taught how to examine things. So go up to the door and exmine it. Then a treasure chest will appear. So walk up to it and open it using the same method that you used to examine the door. Then lock on to the box and hack at it to get a potion. Then a barrel will appear but you don't have to do anything to it. Now go back to the door and you should be able to go through so go through it and you'll be in the next area.
You are now on Destiny Islands now. You will now have to talk to Wakka and Tidus who are from Final Fantasy X and also Selphie who is from Final Fantasy VIII. The three will ask you a question. Your answer will determine how fast you level up. If you wish to level up quickly, pick all the top answers. If you want to level up normally, pick all the middle answers. And if you want to level up slowly, pick all the bottom answers. The voice will then tell you that your adventure will begin at dawn if you pick easy, midday if you pick normal, and dusk-if you picked hard. It will then ask you if you want this. Choose Yes, or no to go back.
You are now back in the platform place. You will be taught now how to use save points so save because you are about to battle a boss. Then a staircase will appear. Walk up the staircase and a HUGE monster will appear. When the battle is over Sora wakes up on Destiny Islands... _________________ Rules

*Destiny Islands
Sora wakes up on Destiny Islands and thinks that the battle was just a dream. He wakes up to see Kairi, one of Sora's best friends on Destiny Islands. After Sora talks about the dream for a while and then he meets up with Riku, another friend of Sora's. The three will then race each other on the beach. Then the Kingdom Hearts logo will appear and the Destiny Islands logo will appear.
You will now gain control of Sora talk to Kairi who is just in front of you. She will ask you to find some supplies for the raft. She wants you to get two logs, a cloth and a rope. Firstly a log is near you on the beach. The second log is on the island where Riku is. To get to the island you can go through Seaside Shack where the save point is or swim to the ladder behind the island. The cloth is in the big tree house. The Rope is on the same platform as Tidus is. Once you have all the supplies, return to Kairi and she will ask if you want to call it a day. If you say yes you can continue on with the game but if you say no, you can battle the other people on Destiny Islands. This is a good way to obtain easy experience. To battle them, talk to them a second time.
After you have called it a day, there will be a cut-scene. Enter the Cove area. To get to it, go to where Kairi was standing yesterday and go through the door. You will see Riku will who wants to name the raft Highwind. So select your own name (the default name is Excalibur) and you will have to race for it. To win, you have to touch the giant star and then run back. The first person back wins the race. During the race, you can take any route you wish. If you win, you get a pretty stone from Kairi but you don't have to win. Go to the flying fox and you should see a box. Pick it up and place it against the wall. There is a cave that you can jump to using when standing on the box. You should use the First-Person view (press SELECT) to see it. You should get a Protect Chain. I suggest that you equip this because this is very handy right now.
It's now time to get more supplies for Kairi. Then go to the raft and she will ask you to collect some supplies for the raft. She asks you to get three mushrooms, a seagull egg, coconuts and fish. Go to the tree area near where Kairi is. Strike the trees and coconuts will fall but only pick up the yellow not the brown ones. (If you have ever played Chrono Cross on PS1, you'll here a familiar sound!) To get the fish, go to the beach on the other side of the island and swim in the water. They are very easy to catch. To get the Seagull egg, climb the smallest tree near the wooden bridge and the Seaside shack. To get the first Mushroom, to the base of the flying fox and go to the bush. It should be there. To get the second one, push the rock in front of Kairi. Now go to Wakka and he will tell you that he found a secret place. The secret place is at the base of a the tree near the waterfalls. Go in and pick the mushroom and a there will be a cut-scene. To get the drinking water, walk up to the waterfalls behind Wakka and you should receive some drinking water. Or go to the springs under where the wooden platforms near the flying fox to also receive the Spring Water. During your findings you can talk to Tidus who is now on the island where Riku once was. Talk to him and he will say that Riku bet him, Wakka and Selphie all together. Since Sora is his rival, he will ask to fight them also. Now go back to Kairi and she will ask you to take a rest. So rest and there will be a long cut-scene. When you wake up, there are Heartless all around but if you try to attack them, no damage will be inflicted because your wooden sword is too weak. So quickly go to the Seaside Shack and I suggest that you save because you are about to battle a boss. There are two short cuts to get to the platform where Riku is, here is how you do it. The first way is toswim all the way around the platform until you reach the island. NOTE: this short cut is not avaliable when the Heartless is there. The second way is much quicker and more efficient, here's how you do it. Go to the waterfall and you will see the Seaside Shack. You carefully can jump onto the roof and then run accross it to reach the island. Easy! Anyways, back to the walkthrough. Then go to the little island and you will see Riku give himself up to the Heartless. Then the Keyblade will appear. Now you can battle the Heartless. The model you have is called the Kingdom Key. Fight as many as you want to get easy experience points and then go to the secret place and there will be a cut-scene. Then the boss will appear.
After the battle you wake up in a new world...

*Traverse Town
There will be a nice cut-scene showing the word Traverse Town, the new world. Donald, Goofy and Pluto are also here in Traverse Town. Then Donald looks up at the sky and sees a star go out. So they all go to find Leon. Pluto then strays off and finds Sora in the alleyway and he wakes him up. Sora wakes up and realises he is in a different world. You now gain control of Sora again. Go to the Accesories shop and talk to Cid who is behind the counter. He will explain to you about the town. So go out of the shop and go behind it and there should be two doors. Go through them. You will see a man have his heart taken by a Heartless. Go back now to the Accesories shop. I suggest you save because you are about to battle someone. When you go outside you will meet Leon but he sees the KeyBlade and tests you, in a battle.
If you beat Leon, you get an Elixir but you don't have to win to go on with the game. The story doesn't change if you win or lose but you will receive a lot of experience.
Sora then wakes up in the hotel in Traverse Town and meets Yuffie. She will tell you about the Heartless and also the Lengendary Keyblade. She also tells Sora about a man named Ansem. You will now gain control of Sora again, talk to Yuffie about locks and then open the chest on the table. When you are ready, talk to Leon and a few Heartless will attack the Hotel. Get ready to fight a lot of Heartless.
You are now in the alleyway and fighting a different type of Heartless-The Soldier Heartless. They are twice as hard to defeat than the Shadow Heartless. You should battle a few of these to get used because you need the experience. Go to the Second District and then to Third District. Then there will be a cut-scene. Donald and Goofy are on a balcony and fall on Sora. They see the Keyblade. "The Key!" they both say. Then walls start to appear and Soldier Heartless appear. Battle them off with Donald and Goofy. All the soldier Heartless should be gone now. The real boss is here.
After the battle, there will be a cut-scene, Leon will tell you about the 99 dalmatian puppies. You get 100 munny and a Elixir if you bet Leon before. Donald will then teach the powerful Fire spell and Goofy will teach you his Dodge Roll ability. If you have enough AP you should equip Dodge Roll because it will be very useful. When you are ready, go to the Accesories shop and buy a few potions and then go to the save point to access the Gummi Ship.
You are now on the World Map Screen now choose the top-right world to reach... _________________ Rules

*Wonderland
A nice cut-scene showing the name of the new world, Wonderland. When you reach Wonderland you will see the White Rabbit run off. Follow him into the Bizzare Room. Talk to the door knob and it will say that you are too big to fit through the door. Now go to the bed and Examine it. You will be able to push it to reveal the next area. Then go to the table and use the potions to make yourself small.
Now that you are small you have to battle a new type of Heartless called the Red Nocturne. They are Fire Magic based. So take a little time to fight these guys and get used to fighting these guys 'cos you're going to fight a lot of them. Go through the opening to reach the Queen's Courtyard. There is a court case which is about to begin. The Queen thinks that Alice was the one who did what the Heartless tried to do to the Queen. Save your game and enter to the Lotus Forest area which is left of the Courtyard.
You will meet the Cheshire Cat and she will tell you that there are four pieces of evidence to find. To get the first piece, jump on the mushrooms to reach the bizzare room again but now get the STENCH piece of evidence. To get the second piece of evidence, go to the area where the mushrooms to find the FOOTPRINTS. To get the third piece of evidence, give a potion to the yellow flower to grow big again. Then jump on the tree stump and hit the tree with the nut in it. Grow small again and go to the Bizzare room using the new path. Jump on the cooker to find the CLAW MARKS piece of evidence. To get the final piece, jump on the mushroom to the right of the area of mushrooms, to find the ANTENNA piece of evidence.
When you have collected all the pieces of evidence, return to the Queen's Courtyard. Talk to the card in front of the Queen. She will put the pieces of evidence on the ground. You will have to show her a piece of evidence. You now have to decide to show her a piece of your evidence or a piece of her evidence. If you pick to show a piece of evidence that you found, Donald and Goofy won't be captured, but if you choose to show a piece of evidence of the Queen's, Donald and Goofy will be captured and also you will have to battle the boss by yourself. So technically you will have a one in four chance of getting the Queen's piece of evidence so it will be highly unlikely that you get Donald and Goofy captured.
There is a new opening in the Lotus Forest at the end of the Lotus Forest near the mushrooms. Go to it. This is the Tea party Garden. You can sit on the chairs to get some good items but also you can trigger traps that unleash Heartless. Go in to the door of the house and you will be in the Up-Side Down Bizzare Room. In this Up-Side Bizzare Room there is a new type of Heartless. They are called the Large Body Heartless and their name speaks for themselves. This is because they are huge and can only be damaged by being hit in the back. Although they are very difficult to defeat, the Large Body Heartless can give you huge Munny Balls and also a lot of normal Munny Balls. Defeat the Heartless and light up the two lamps by climbing the grey brick area and then jumping to the table like objects. Then head towards the lamps and a new command will come up. This function is the Touch Command. Touch the first lamp and then the second lamp by jumping off the first table and to the second table. Now go all the way back to the Queen's Courtyard save your progress and return to the real Bizzare Room. The boss is waiting for you there.
When you complete a world, you have to seal the keyhole. So seal Wonderland's Keyhole and then go to the save point. Access the Gummi Ship and choose the world on the right to reach...

*Deep Jungle
Sora argues with Donald on whether they should land on this planet or not. The Gummi Ship will go out of control and Sora will crash land into a hut. As usual the game will show a cut-scene showing the new world, Deep Jungle. When Sora gets up he battles...
When the battle is over, Tarzan will appear and he will save you. He will also become a temporary member of your party. You will now gain control of Sora again so follow Tarzan through the jungle. There is also a save point if you wish to save. Now then jump on to the open tree log and tree surf all the way down. Once you have finished tree surfing, you will arrive at the camp where you will meet up with Donald and Goofy and also Clayton and Jane. After a lot of talking, you will be able to explore the area. In the camp area there are six slides that need to be found. To get the first slide, head towards the globe and jump onto the boxes. Then when on the boxes, jump onto the tent and you will see a spinning object. This is a slide. Pick it up and you have slide number one. Now head to the clearing towards the left of the tent. The second slide is on the green dresser. Pick it up and you now have slide number two. Then go towards the boxes and you will see an art easel. The third slide is by it. Pick it up and you have slide number three. Now go to the huge pile of boxes. Jump to the top and you will see it. Pick it up and you have slide number four. Now go back to the slide number one area and continue to travel along the sheets. The fifth slide is on the end of them all. Pick it up and you have sldie number five. Now for the final slide! Then head to the globe area and run around to the back of it. You should see it. Now pick it up and you have all of the slides. Once you have found all of the slides, return to the tent and examine the projector. You will see a few slides which are very boring. When it is over, save your progress, I recommend it! Exit the tent. Guess who is back for round two?
Go through the exit that is behind the table full of science equipment in the west of the camp. This area is called Hippo's Lagoon. Climb up the vine on the tree to arrive at the Vines area. Here you will learn how to vine swing. When you have finished you will be in the Vines 2 area. There will be a cut-scene. There seems to be alot of these in the game! When gain control again, climb up the the vine which is on the tree to reach the Climbing Trees Area. Then head towards the exit to reach the Treehouse Area. Enter the Treehouse and there will be another cut-scene, AGAIN!--I told you there was a lot! Head to the net and jump down into the trees to tree-surf back to the camp. A VERY annoying leopard awaits for round three...
Enter the tent and another conflict between the characters. Sora will then leave the tent and The Heartless will arrive (about time!). This type of Heartless is called the Powerwild, they remind me of monkeys. These Heartless are not that hard to defeat but they are very quick. If you have the time, defeat all the Powerwilds to receive a Gummi Piece. Go to the Bamboo Thicket Area which is in the east of the camp area. and defeat all of the Powerwilds there to receive another Gummi Piece. Now head back all the way back to the Climbing Trees Area and defeat all the Powerwilds there to receive another Gummi Piece. Enter the Treehouse Area and defeat all the Powerwilds there to receive another Gummi Piece. All these Gummi Pieces will be put to good use. Now slide back down to camp and head to the Bamboo Thicket Area. When there, you will encounter Sabor.
Defeat him to acquire the White Fang. Return to the Climbing Trees Area and you will encounter the Fruit Monster. Defeat it and return to the campsite. Now I suggest that you save your progress and now prepare yourself by equipping many potions on. Battle more Heartless if you need to. When you are finished head to the Bamboo Thicket Area and then enter the Cliff Area. The Boss awaits..
There will be a cut-scene. It seems that Clayton is not finished with you. And now he is with a friend...
When the battle is over, you will learn the Cure spell-very useful. The gorillas will throw you onto a higher ledge. You will gain control again and now enter the cave. There are many items that you can get so make sure you get them all. Now climb up all of the rocks and you will reach another cave. Enter this cave to find the Keyhole for this world. Seal it and Tarzan will give you the Jungle Keychain and you will learn the Red Trinity Charge. Congratulations you are now finished with this world.
Find a save point and enter your Gummi Ship head towards... _________________ Rules |

*Traverse Town
You are now back in Traverse Town. It has been quite a while since you have been here. Head for the Second District and enter the Hotel. Use one of the doors to reach the alleyway with the water. If you look closely, you will see that there is a Red Trinity mark in the water. Activate it to smash the bars. Enter the sewers and talk to Leon twice. On the second time that you talk to him, he will give you the Earthshine--more on that later. Now return to the Accesories shop in the First District. Talk to Cid and he will tell you about a book he has been working on for his friend and he wants you to deliver it for him. Take the book off him and head for the Third District. One your way to the third district, you will notice that there are three new types of Heartless, the Green Requiem, the Yellow Opera and the Air Soldier. If you encounter any of these enemies (They usually all come in a group), attack the Green Requiems first as they are very annoying because they always will cast the Magic Spell Cure on its allies. Go to the door with the picture of the flame on it. lock on to it and cast Fire. The door will be unlocked and so enter the building. You will see stepping stones. When you get close to them, they will move, so time your jumps. Proceed through to next room. When you are in the room, there will be a cut-scene and the owner of the house will arrive. It seems that the owner is Merlin. Now give the book to him and talk to the Fairy Godmother. She will turn the Earthshine that you received from Leon into your first summon -- the Simba Summon.
Leave the Mystical House and head for the Small House which is near the exit of the Third District to the Second District. Talk to everyone who is in there and return to the Accessories Shop. Talk to Cid and he will install a Warp-G piece into your Gummi-ship. Buy potions if you need to and prepare for a boss battle. Head towards the Gizmo Shop in the Second District and there will be a ladder outside of the Shop. Climb it to reach the roof. On the roof there are Heartless to battle so get rid of them all before you proceed. There is a Red Trinity spot in front of the wooden wall. Activate it and a rope will appear. Pull on the rope three times to reveal the Keyhole for Traverse Town. Now jump off the roof and head for the fountain which is in the middle of the district to find an old friend...
When you have defeated Opposite Armor, return to the Keyhole and seal it. Congratulations, you are now finished with Traverse Town. Return to the Accessories Shop and buy Potions if you need them. Then use the Save Point to access the Gummi Ship. Now choose the bottom world to reach... _________________ Rules |

*Olympus Coliseum
When you arrive at Olympus Coliseum, you will see a White Trinity mark-more on that later. By now you should have learned the Blue Trinity Jump. There are two Trinity spots on the platforms beside the door. The first is located behind the stone pillars. The second is located on the platform.Proceeed through the doors and you will see Phil. He mistakes you for Hercules and tells you to push the block. You will gain control again and now go over to the block. Talk to it and Sora will say "It Weighs a ton" so return to Phil and he will turn around and sees that you aren't Hercules. Sora wishes to enter the games but Phil thinks that Sora is too weak. And so you will have to go through a few trials before you can enter the games. In the trials all you have to do is destroy all of the barrels that appear before the time runs out. Below are the strategies on how to pass these trials.
Trial 1
Number Of Barrels: 20
Time limit: 30 Seconds
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The best thing to do is to, if there is a group, attack the middle barrel so that you will hit all three in just one blow. Also you can use Magic Spells against the barrels.
Trial 2
-Number Of Barrels: 25
-Time limit: 60 Seconds
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Same thing as last time but now you have one minute to destroy all of them. Attack the barrels on the floor first. There is one barrel that is situated on a raised platform. You can either climb up the blocks and jump off them to reach them or just lock on to the barrel and cast the Magic Spell Fire. Easy!
When you have completed both of the tests, you will learn the Magic Spell Thunder but Phil still won't let you enter the games because you don't have a ticket. With no hope left, leave the lobby but there will be a cut-scene showing another Disney character-Hades. He will give you a ticket so that you can enter the games. Return to lobby and talk to Phil. He will let you enter the preliminaries. Save your progress and then enter the preliminaries.

You have now completed the Phil Cup. Not so hard was it? You attain the power of Gravity, the Gravity spell. The Gravity Spell can do a lot of damage to enemies with a lot of Hit Points so I suggest you equip it. * Deep Jungle
Separated from Donald and Goofy, Sora lands in the empty treehouse, where he's attacked by Sabor. Dodge his springing leaps and strike back with combos until Tarzan shows up. Hop off the tree and head through the large hollow tree trunk. This leads to a neat little tree-surfing mini-game. Use the directional controls and the jump button to avoid the obstacles. After landing in Jane's encampment, go into the main tent.
The next task is to collect six slides from around the campsite.
* Slide 1: On top of the tent
* Slide 2: On a dark green chest of drawers under the canvas awning
* Slide 3: By the blackboard easel
* Slide 4: Atop the stacked crates
* Slide 5: Atop the canvas awning -- jump there from the top of the tent
* Slide 6: On some suitcases by the main tent entrance
Gather those and return them to Jane's camera. Then, it's time to go visit the gorillas.
He's outside the main tent, and even easier to defeat than before. After he's taken care of, go to the treehouse by way of the Hippo's Lagoon. Hop across the pools to the other side of the Lagoon and climb up the vine. After the brief cutscene with Kerchak, climb up the ivy on the nearby tree trunk to reach the Climbing Trees area, and go through the exit there to reach the Tree House.
After the cutscene with Clayton's antics, go back to the camp the way you first came. Head into the tent to see Jane again. Now, it's time for a fight. Kill the band of Monkey Heartless to rescue the gorilla (this also earns a Protect-G Gummi Block). Then, proceed to the Bamboo Thicket for another fight. After that, go to the Cliff, where a similar battle awaits. The Cliff has only one exit, so backtrack to the Climbing Trees area for another fight to save a gorilla. Then head to the Tree House, where the last of this series of battles awaits. Finally, head back to camp and see Jane.
After talking to Jane, a gunshot sounds from the Bamboo Thicket. Head over there, where Sabor attacks for the last time.
Watch out for his little teleporting trick, though. He can jump into one side of the thicket and reappear from the other. Item: White Fang. While all this is going on, the Heartless kidnap Jane and Terk. Go all the way back to the Climbing Trees area to save them.
Next is the Big Purple Fruit. Not exactly a boss, because it doesn't fight back. It just sits there on the tree trunk until Sora whacks it. It's surrounded by Monkey Heartless, though, so be careful. From here, head back to camp and then to the Cliff.
Next is the batlle with Clayton. This battle has two phases. First, it's Clayton and a few Monkey Heartless. This is dead easy -- just target Clayton and attack him until he goes down, which goes pretty quickly. Then the real bad guy appears, the Stealth Chameleon. The Chameleon will be invisible until attacked a few times. Watch out for a green glow, which is the sign to pull back and dodge its claw attack. Once it appears, continue to attack until Clayton is knocked off his mount. Then, focus the attack on Clayton until he's defeated. Thunder magic works well here, since it damages both main targets. It's also very wise to include Tarzan in the party for this fight, usually in the place of Goofy, since his fighting ability and special skills make him very powerful for this point in the game. Once the battle is over, Kerchak tosses the party up to the top of a cliff, in front of the entrance to a cavern. Enter the Waterfall Cavern and hop up to the top of the falls, clearing the treasure chests along the way. At the top, Sora locks the Deep Jungle Keyhole and discovers another Navi-G piece, as well as the Jungle King keychain.
After completing the worlds on this ring, the party now has the ability to use Red Trinity points. Now, it's back to Traverse Town. _________________ Rules |

* Traverse Town
Donald mentioned finding Leon. He's training in the waterway hidden in District 2. To get there, use the Red Trinity behind the Hotel in District 2 -- it's by the iron bars on the far end. Inside are Aerith and Leon. Talk to Leon, who provides a little background on the Keyholes and new Gummi Blocks. He'll also offer the Earthshine item, the first summon gem.
The next person to talk to is Cid, back at the Accessory Shop in District 1. He explains the use of the Navigation Gummi, and gives the party a book to deliver to Merlin. Note that there's now a quick route to District 3 in the District 1 main square, across from the main gate. Go to Merlin's house, where Merlin will put the Old Book in a place for future reference, and the Fairy Godmother will explain the Earthshine -- it's a summon gem, containing Simba.
Now, head back to the Small House in District 3, as Cid advised. On the way, an old friend appears...
After talking to Cid and company in the Small House, head to the Second District and the Gizmo Shop. Go in the entrance by the Hotel and out the other end, where there's a ladder to the top of the roof. Pulling the bellrope turns the mural behind the fountain -- do that three times to reveal the Traverse Town Keyhole. You will battle a boss.
Another two-stage battle. After fighting in his original guise, where he's extremely weak, he changes form and acquires some new attacks. In his new form, he mainly uses powerful charging attacks, leaping across the field in dangerous bounds. He can also divide into two sections that fight independently. Again, though, the strategy for defeating him is similar. Pick a limb and stick to it, gradually wearing down his attack capability. Make sure to use more magic as well, since Sora has a more effective complement of spells at this point. Once he's down to just his torso, no legs, he'll fire a powerful homing energy blast. Avoid that by dodging at long distance or pulling in very close, where it can't home in on Sora.
Talk to Cid in District 1 to get a Comet-G Gummi, and then head for the Gummi Ship.
At this point, it's possible to go back to the Coliseum and enter the Games, but the real story lies in the Warp Hole. Now that the Warp Drive is activated, it's possible to skip the Gummi Ship shooting mini-game and go straight from world to world on this ring. Warp to the Coliseum and then fly to the Warp Hole. _________________ Rules |

* Agrabah
Jafar and Maleficent's conversation introduces a little more backstory, as well as the new Heartless in this level. Once the party touches down, head through the passageway to the Main Street area. There's a climbing pole in one spot here that leads to Aladdin's hideout, but the large passageway to the Alley is where you want to go now.
Here, the party finds Princess Jasmine in her hiding place. Unfortunately, the bad guys find her as well. Jafar summons some Heartless to attack, but they're easy to take care of. Now, things get a little complicated.
Climb up the crates to where Jafar was standing. See the keyhole? Use that to unlock one of the town gates. Then, turn right and jump across the open window shutters to get to the high point on the other side of the Alley. A little more climbing leads to the passageway Sora just opened, and thence to the awnings above Main Street.
Now, you want to get to the blue-green awning kitty-corner from where you are. Step down to the pink one, hop over to the yellow one, and then jump across to the goal. Climb the pole, and there you are at Aladdin's place.
At Aladdin's house, the Magic Carpet sits in a corner next to a chest of drawers. Talk to the Carpet -- he flies away -- and then head back to Main Street via any number of exits. Next stop, the Desert (reachable from the Main Street or the connected Plaza area), where it's time for a magic carpet ride.
Out in the desert, Aladdin's beset by the Heartless. There's an awful lot of them, and their defensive abilities can be a pain, but Sora shouldn't have a hard time taking them out. Subsequently, we meet Aladdin and the Genie -- take a moment to appreciate the animation work and Dan Castellaneta's fine performance. Then it's back to Agrabah.
Climb the pair of stacked crates, located to the right of the entrance, to reach the second level of this area. Then, jump across to the awning opposite and go through the nearby passageway. As before, jump across the window shutters to get to the Alley and Aladdin's House. After the cutscene, go back down the pole to the Alley and follow the awnings around the corner. From the red one at the end, hop over to the passageway and into the Bazaar.
On the corner platform in the Bazaar, jump across the two open shutters to the platform with two crates. Jump up those crates to the high platform and hop from there to the opposite wall, where there's a chest sitting at the right end. On the left, there's another keyhole, which unlocks the door to the Palace Gates. Specifically, it's the gate above the yellow awning in Main Street.
Here, Jafar has captured Jasmine, and even the Genie's best efforts fail. Now, time for another fight.
This is a bit of a tricky boss, since he can regenerate himself by gathering new segments from around the area. Attack the segments to break him up, and then hit the head and tail to finish him off, while avoiding his dangerous antennae. However, when he curls up into a tight ball, only the head is vulnerable, so whack away at that point until he uncurls.
Follow Aladdin's advice and head back out to the Desert via the Plaza -- first, though, hit a save point and swap Aladdin into the party if you haven't already done so. Here lies the entrance to the Cave of Wonders.
Cave Mouth is the next boss. His two vulnerable points are his eyes, which are usually high out of reach. Fire magic jump attacks can hit them when he leans his head forward, but to attack physically otherwise, Sora has to climb up around his neck, over his head, and deftly hop down onto his nose. Meanwhile, of course, the head is sending out Heartless, breathing blasts of fire, and launching homing energy beams from its eyes. Be patient, and try to concentrate on one eye at a time, since killing one first will reduce the burden of the homing blasts.
Once that's taken care of, enter the Cave of Wonders. Some tough fights lie in here, especially with the new fire-breathing Large Bodies. There's also a nasty little trap in the first area, where a boulder rolls along the central track -- don't let that hit Sora, or it will cause serious damage. Break through the bad guys and go through the far passageway to the Hall.
Compounding its size are the pits, which drop the party down into the Dark Chamber (although a Torn Page can be found down there, among other things). There are a couple of ways down into the Chamber besides (the stairs between the two torches work), but in any event, that's where we want to go. Swim into the waterfall by the save point to enter the Silent Chamber, and go down the next waterfall to the right to continue from there.
See that statue of a monkey? Activate that to open a doorway. Now, swim back up to the Silent Chamber and go up the first bit of stairs. Then jump over the landing and swim to the far passageway, which leads to the Hidden Room and a mysterious pillar. Zap the pillar with Fire magic, and another cutscene ensues...
There's the Keyhole. Now, swim back to the Silent Chamber and go up the stairs, which lead back to the Hall. Now we want to go to the big door tucked in the far right corner, which leads to the Bottomless Hall. Mind the gap, and the water jets, to make it to the passageway on the far side, into the Treasure Room. In this room, use the little pedestals at the bottom of the treasure heaps to hop up to the chests. Saving would also be wise before proceeding to the Lamp Chamber.
Genie and Jafar is the next boss. The genie moves around slowly and attacks with punches, but he's easy to avoid. Meanwhile, Jafar gradually drifts from platform to platform, pausing to launch fiery beams. Dodge those with continual movement, and hop off the platforms to smack him with aerial combos while he hovers.
After the battle, go see Jasmine at the World Lock. Jafar isn't quite out of it yet, though. Hop down the hole after him.
Jafar is not the target here. The object is to take out Iago, who flies around the shifting floors holding Jafar's lamp. Avoid Jafar's massive lava bombs, which isn't too tough, and follow Iago around. He has a pre-set pattern, so it's possible to save some time by waiting for him to come to you rather than following him to the platforms on the far sides of the arena. It's also easy to attack from long range with Fire magic. Winning nets the Fira spell, the Three Wishes keychain, and Ansem's Report 1.
The bad guys make off with Jasmine while Sora locks the Keyhole. Fly out of the Cave in the flying-carpet mini-game, which is no big challenge, and that's the end of Agrabah. After the cutscenes, return to the Gummi Ship. Now you can open Green Trinity points, and you've got the Genie summon. _________________ Rules |

* Traverse Town/Hundred Aker Wood
Donald and Goofy suggest taking the Torn Page from the Cave of Wonders and returning it to Merlin's book. Warp back to Traverse Town and do just that -- as it turns out, this is a copy of Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh. Returning pages restores missing locations to the Hundred Aker Wood, and adds corresponding encounters with its various Inhabitants. This one adds a meadow on the right side, where Sora has a chat with Pooh.
Thus, a side-quest arises. Find the missing pages to restore the missing pieces of Pooh's world -- to begin with, there's just that meadow, the Hunny Tree, and Pooh's House. We'll revisit this area a few times in the future. For now, you can go to the Hunny Tree and help get Pooh some hunny, which earns the Naturespark item. Give that to the Fairy Godmother to snag the Bambi summon.
While in Traverse Town, head back to Cid's Accessory Shop, now that the party can use Green Trinity points. Using the Trinity Ladder effect reveals a path up to the attic, where the moogles will teach the party about item synthesis. _________________ Rules |

* Monstro
After taking care of business in Traverse Town, it's time to get rolling again. Fly to the point east of Agrabah on the map, the lower arm of the new ring, with a Battle LV of five stars. The Gummi Ship won't make it there, though -- partway through the flight, a massive whale appears. This, of course, is Monstro, of Pinocchio.
After being swallowed, Sora goes through a short flashback to his childhood. The crew comes to in Monstro's throat, with some unexpected company. Swim towards the back of the area to meet Geppetto.
Follow Pinocchio through the triangular door to Chamber 1. Next, jump up to the platform on the left and, after the cutscene, enter Chamber 2. Battle the Heartless inside and proceed through the door to Chamber 3. Next, bear to the immediate left for the Chamber 2 entrance. Then, we want the passageway on the right, to Chamber 5. The next path is easy -- straight to the end, into Chamber 6. From there, drop down and head up the steps, a little to the right, into Chamber 5 (watch out, though, because down the steps, there's another entrance to Chamber 5 that dead-ends). Finally, go straight through past the barrels to Chamber 4.
Follow Riku through the passageway to the Bowels.
You'll fight the boss, Cage Parasite. This guy's most vulnerable point is his high head, but that's difficult to target with anything except jumping Fira magic. Attacking him down low is a risky proposition, since his flailing arms are very hard to dodge. A good strategy is to use physical attacks when his arms are briefly at rest, and then back off to expend the MP thus gathered on Fira shots to his head. Every so often, he'll be knocked dormant, too, which is the sign to go in and swing hard. Riku will help out in this battle, so it's actually not one of the tougher ones.
When Pinocchio falls down the hole, well, you'll dive after him. Note that the dropping water level in this cutscene means that some platforms and Trinity points have been uncovered in this first area. Climb high up to get the Watergleam item, which can be converted to a Summon back in Traverse Town. Also, open the chest by the save point to get the High Jump shared ability. With that, Sora can leap from Geppetto's platform over to the L-shaped bit of flotsam that was previously unreachable. That leads to the Tornado-G in the chest to the left, and more importantly, to the passageway above the one that leads to the Chambers. Go through it to enter the Throat.
In here, jump and battle up the spiraling platforms to reach the Stomach. After the cutscene, it's time for one more battle.
It is Cage Parasite again. He behaves mostly as before, with a couple of differences -- for example, when dormant, he now leans his head back instead of forward, and he has a new attack where he spews a ball of poison gas at Sora, sora. In any event, follow the same strategy as before, sticking and movo watch out when his head is pointed right toward him. The environment also makes things harder, since falling in Monstro's stomach acid will harm Sing with physical attacks, while pulling back to open fire with magic when Sora builds up his MP. The new High Jump ability also makes it much easier to leap up and whack him in the head.
After more doings from Maleficent, Monstro spits the party back out near Agrabah. At this point, it's possible to head back to Olympus for another tournament, but to continue the quest, go back around to the other world on the second ring, away from Monstro. This path leads to a tougher area, but it spares a bit of Gummi flight. _________________ Rules |

* Halloweentown
Go forward through the gate into Guillotine Square, where the Heartless await. Not much fight in them, though. In the Square, bear right to meet the Mayor, who in turn introduces us to the inimitable Jack Skellington.
Follow Jack around to the left and go through the door marked Lab Entryway -- from there, keep going to the Research Lab. Here, the Doctor and Jack offer some assistance and a quest. The crew needs to find the Doctor's assistant, Sally.
Add Jack to the party and head back outside, where the Heartless are causing trouble. Go out to Guillotine Square and around to its left side, through the small door that leads to a steep flight of stairs. There are actually two of these -- we want the one that's a little farther around to the left. It bends up to the doorway leading to the Graveyard.
The Graveyard area is infested with Heartless. Take them out and Zero will appear, in turn introducing Sally. She provides the item necessary to complete the Doctor's experiment, so go back to the Lab and see what's cooking. He needs another ingredient, and meanwhile, Oogie Boogie and company are to no good.
Go back to the Graveyard, defeat the Heartless there, and examine the coffin at the far end. This opens the passage to the Boneyard, where we find the Mayor. He introduces a bit of a memory puzzle -- you have to examine the tombstones in the order that the ghosts appear from them. That's not so hard, though. When that's done, go open the chest where the giant pumpkin once was. This is the next item that the Doctor requires, so take it back to the Lab.
The experiment may be finished, but the quest is far from over. Follow that heart. Luckily, Zero points the way. Go out to the Boneyard via the Graveyard, and take the passage on the left (a big grinning statue, next to the burst pumpkin) to reach the Moonlight Hill area. This area is crowded with some very resilient Heartless, so be careful when fighting them and don't be afraid to use magic.
On the hill in the center, opposite the little curling top, is a small gravestone, just on the other side of a low stone wall. Examine that gravestone to open up a path to Oogie's Manor. Walk across the bridge and through the gate in the next area to get there.
To get in, cross the bridge, destroying Heartless along the way. Examine the double doors to enter, and once inside, shoot the little platform with Fire magic to create a floating platform. Jump from there to the wooden bridge, and run all the way up the long, spiraling wooden platform. Be careful not to fall off! If you do, jump in the wandering bathtub down there to be transported back to the double doors. At the very top, enter the doorway to the Evil Playroom.
The boss is Lock, Shock, and Barrel. Not really a boss, particularly because they aren't very tough. They take a lot of damage, and they jump around a fair bit, but their offensive capabilities are minimal. Just focus on them one at a time with physical attacks to put them away in short order.
See the big lever over there? Whack that to open a hidden door. It's back out on the exterior of Oogie's Manor. Climb down a ways until you see a big green door that looks like Oogie's face -- the path is complex, but the door itself is pretty hard to miss. Enter that door to discover the Torture Chamber.
The boss,Oogie Boogie is waiting. This is one complicated boss fight. The party is down on the sectioned roulette wheel, being attacked by flying Heartless. Meanwhile, Oogie occasionally tosses down exploding dice, one segment of the pit is covered by toy soldiers which attack with their rifles, and rotating knives occasionally swirl around the pit, which Sora must jump to avoid damage. When the buttons in the middle of the wheel glow, step on the one near where Oogie is currently standing -- that segment will be enclosed by a fence and rise up to the outer rim, where the party can jump across to Oogie's level and attack him directly. Stay up there and swing away at Oogie as long as possible, although his explosive attack can knock Sora back down into the wheel. If that happens, just wait for another opportunity to climb up. This fight can grow tedious, but once you learn the pattern, it's not too hard to complete.
After Oogie goes down, in one of the game's nastier cutscenes, it seems as if the battle is over. The party gets a Holy Circlet here.
However, though he is down, he's not out. Now, his entire Manor transforms to attack.
As Jack points out in the cutscene, the targets to attack are the globs of dark energy attached to the house at various points. Climb up the roots of the Manor and attack them one by one, dodging the | | | |
