Even if she didn't act it, Catori was impressed. Most didn't know her native language, and she spoke other languages comfortably enough to just use them around others. She watched Eleni for a few moments. Her mind tried to string together a decent explanation, if only a very basic one. Time and again a sentence was formed, mulled over, and discarded. Eventually, Catori picked one.
"We are very private with each other. It has just crossed over to all."
She, for the first time all night, spoke in her native language. The Dorrian tongue consisted of hisses, growls, and purr like noises. Honestly, they sounded more like a human cat than reptiles. Any Dorrian would tell you, with a possible lash out of violence, that they are very different and that they had no bloody idea what a cat was saying. They would also say that vice versus was probably true. The moral of that brief story is to not confuse one for the other, or even say they are similar.

Eleni nodded at the explanation. Ah. That makes sense, I suppose. I'm used to my own people's freeness with each other, I didn't think about others not behaving the same.
She realized the girl was probably testing to see if she actually knew the language, like she claimed, but that was to be expected. That does seem somewhat lonely, though. |

Suddenly, Tom ripped the Derag that was on him's mouth open, and tossed it to the side, when he picked up Raoul and fled, slowly changing into a Dotat. But morphing was tiring, and all he could do was alter his nervous system to constantly send the message of running, never to tire. But he was human again, and Raoul's weight fell on his shoulders. He was tiring, but safe. He started to fade though, and managed to send a mental message containing his location, before fainting.

TD23 dropped his notebook as he felt the quick presence of a unnatural Dotat creation. He quickly floated out of his room and headed to where he had sensed the presence.

When Tom sent the mental message, the Derag who had somehow callen the other Derag followed the signal and located Raoul.
Using his strength, he hauled raoul over his shoulder, using his tail to suport the weight of Raoul. He began hauling him away.

Tom slowly stirred. He got up, saw TD23. But then he realised that Raoul wasn't there. His brain was way too tired to figure out why.

Raoul slowly woke up in a mysterious building.
"Ral... wiki laem?" (Ugh... where am I?) said Raoul. He could feel a sharp pain in his lower waist, most likely where the Derag that had carried him had his claws dug into, along with scratches and bruises from the rockfall.
He picked himself up and looked around the area. Like all Derag homes, the building was carved right into stone. Judging by the size of it, he guessed it was built into a clifface.
On the wall behind his stone bed lined with a skin Raoul could nit itendify, many cupboards amde of stone lined the wall, filled with medical equipment. This went along with the rest of the room, too. Raoul guessed this was in infarmy on the Derag's part of the A.P.
He quickly scanned himself, many bandeges covered his body. he could tell they had used antibiotics on some of the wounds as he could still feel a mild stinging.
A female Derag entered the room.
"Kialu, yusdam. Faian tanui bairu. Yiam sigur lamai" (Ah, your awake. The general wants you toi visit him. second room on the left.) said the most Derag, most likely a nurse.
"Iga!" (Wait!) shouted Raoul, but the nurse had already left the room.

Confused about what happened, Raoul just guessed it was natural. He exited the cave and realized the infarmy wasn't built into a cliff, it was built into a huge canyon. Many Derag who appeared to be some sort of guards littered the grounds. There were many buildings built right into the rock. There was also one openning that was heavily guarded, even more than the rest of the caynon.
There was also an upper floor, which could be accessed through tunnels in the lower level. But the upper level was just a bunch of bridges from one side of the canyon to the other. On the bridges, Derag guards with stone bows with snake leather strings, using Venomous snake fangs and sharp rocks as tips for the arrows.
Sudenly, a rather large Derag came out of the guarded room.
"Gurou, kahi quiaw! cilka." (Ah, I've beem expecting you! Come inside.) said the Derag. Raoul nodded and followed him in without making a sound.
