What huge Pokemon Addicts have you heard of? Like not: OMG HOUNDOUR
Problems. Like this:
"I'm going to use my Kadabra to desfeat you."
"Nu-uh, I have Mewtwo."
Or this:
My grandchildren killed two pet's because, when they got into a fight, my son got their Hamster, Pichu to use bite on their cat, Meowth, who was commanded to use Scratch. The Hamster died of injuries and the cat died of rabies, from being bitten on the tail three times. And now they want a Houndour. _________________ Fanfic Updates:

...there's a line somewhere between addiction, obsession, and insanity. I'm still trying to find it, and fortunately I am nowhere near any of them. (Except for maybe insanity, but there are different kinds of insane.)
In a way it's almost hard to believe that people like that exist, and when I look again, I can see, sadly, that it's all too probable.
A lot of people around my area barely want to get associated with Pokemon at all, and of those who do, none of them I know are younger than 8 or 9. That may in itself be a blessing in disguise. _________________

I don't really understand what Treecko said (no, not because you have a bad way of explaining. I'm just bad at understanding), but it's easy to find pokemon addicts. Just look on psypokes and you'll find tons. _________________

I'm one of the only Pokemon addicts in my neighborhood, although I have one friend who used to like Pokemon.
By the way: Mewtwo pwns Kadabra. |

Addiction would mean you let it control your life. There ARE addicts, though they may be in a different number now, on Psypokes, but killing two family pets? That's a true addiction story. And it is actually REAL. But Google "Pokemon addiction" and see if anything comes up. _________________ Fanfic Updates:

Nearly anything in this world can become addictive. If the parents are unable to control how much their child plays a game, then that's at the fault of the parents. It's not like drugs where the kids are usually older and harder to control/keep an eye on. The kids that typically play pokemon are much younger and are under their parents' eyes more. If kids become addicted to something like Pokemon, then there's an issue there that will come up again later in life. That being said, I'd rather find out my kid was addicted to pokemon when they were a child than heroin as a teen. Personally, I'd think heroin would be harder to kick. _________________

I differ, due to the fact that the reason people kick drugs is, they know that it's bad. But Pokemon? Nothing really bad there? _________________ Fanfic Updates:

Some psychologists would probably say that Pokemon makes kids more prone to violence later on in life with people, and possibly animals. _________________

Some people also think Pokemon is satanic.
I think they need a psychologist. _________________

No, they need a psychiatris. Otherwise they're still a menace because they won't have medication. _________________

Yes. A psychologist can't perscribe medication where as a psychiatrist can. That's really the only significant difference that I know of. XD _________________
